What You’ll Do:

You’ll collaborate closely with the Office of Food Systems Resilience (OFSR) team to provide data-driven insights that inform program strategies and investment decisions. Your work will empower key stakeholders to make smarter, more impactful decisions in real time.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Evaluation & Data Analysis: Take the lead in developing and validating surveys, tools, and other methods to measure the effectiveness of OFSR's food programs. Dive deep into program data, assessing impact, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Analytical Support for Food Programs: Be at the heart of data-driven program operations! You’ll provide critical data support, such as cleaning, extracting, and analyzing program data to ensure OFSR programs run smoothly and effectively. For example, supporting the MC Groceries Program by forecasting costs and updating performance dashboards with real-time insights.

  • Grant Evaluation Metrics: Play an essential role in developing performance metrics for various food-related grants. Your work will help measure the success of programs like the Community Food Assistance Grant and the Nutrition Benefit Outreach Grant.

  • Research on Food Security Trends: Become a thought leader in food security by conducting independent research at local, state, and national levels. Analyze U.S. Census data to identify social determinants of health and uncover how OFSR’s initiatives can reduce disparities in food access.

  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Design and maintain dashboards that track essential performance indicators for OFSR’s programs. Your ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights will directly support the success of our food programs. You’ll also contribute to reports and presentations that communicate key findings to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Collaboration with Partners: Engage with community partners, contractors, and grantees to gather critical program data, ensuring continuous feedback loops for ongoing program improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into meaningful insights.

  • Proficiency in data tools, including Excel.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with diverse stakeholders.
